Notification Center is aimed to help Apple users to deal with myriad announcements, messages and alerts in a more effective way by collecting all notifications to an easy-to-access place. However, to fully enjoy its super convenience in everyday life, you must have a good knowledge of Notification Center first. Hence, I'd like to show you the ultimate guide for using Notification Center on iPhone/iPad in 3 parts.
Lock screen notification means the running list of notifications kept on the Lock screen, which allows you to directly go to the app or specific message it's alerting you about. The function of Lock screen notification is also simple to use, just do as follows.
Slide the notification you want to response to from left to right just as what you do for “Slide to Unlock”, then just unlock your iPhone either by entering passcode or using Touch ID.
Maybe you've noticed that Lock screen notifications would disappear if you unlock iPhone. But don't worry, you won't miss any notifications as you can access them by entering Notification Center. And the following are 2 common situations to access Notification Center.
Convenient as Notification Center is, it also brings concerns of security and privacy as anyone can pull down Notification Center from Lock screen to see every message or notification you may have recently missed. In that case, you might as well disable Notification Center on the Lock screen. And here's the way.
Go to Settings >> Touch ID & Passcode on your iPhone and enter your passcode to proceed. Then scroll down to toggle the options for Today and Notification View to Off under Allow Access When Locked section.
After above settings, the Notification Center can't be accessed from the Lock screen. Now you take your iPhone/iPad and tune it to fit you best!comments powered by Disqus
