Partition Recovery can backup partition table and restore deleted, formatted, reformatted, corrupted or damaged partition table caused by hard drive crash, power failure, system sabotage, etc. Meanwhile, it can recover partition table through scanning the whole disk to recreate it.

Follow the tutorials below to learn how to keep a backup copy of partition table and how to recover partition table when a backup file is not available.

Part I. Backup partition table

You had better get into the habit of keeping a backup copy of partition table every time when you repartition a hard disk. Keeping a backup copy before recovering is also suggested

step1. Select "Partition Recovery". Choose a hard disk and click "Backup Partition Table".

Step2.Select a safe location to save the backup file.

Part II. Restore partition table

If you have kept a backup copy of partition table, you only need to recover the backup file and then you can see target hard disk will appear in My Computer again.

Step1.Select "Partition Recovery". Choose a hard disk and click "Restore Partition Table".

Step2.Select the backup file you have made. Click "Open" to start recovering.

Step3.Click "OK" to complete recovery.

Step4.Click "Restart" to restart your PC or Select "Restart Later" to continue your operation.

Part III. Recover partition table

If you didn't keep a backup copy of partition table, you can use Data Recovery Standard to scan the entire disk to determine the partition layout on the hard disk and recreate the partition table.

Step1.Select "Partition Recovery". Choose a hard disk and click "Recover Partition Table".

Note: You can't recover dynamic disk with Partition Recovery.

Step2.The partition file will list in the taskbar automatically. Click "Recover".

Step3.Click "OK" to identify recovery or "Cancel" to exit operation.

Step4.Click "Restart" to restart your PC or Select "Restart Later" to start other operation.
